Phone Verification Guide
After payment or changing your redirect phone, verify the redirect target number within 10 days. Mainland China (+86) mobiles use SMS codes; overseas/HK/TW mobiles and landlines use inbound verification (call our +1 verification number or domain call.001tel.com; no need to answer). The portal shows the matching method automatically.
Which verification method applies to me?
Go to Sign in → Phone verification. The portal shows one method only, based on your registered redirect target phone:
| Redirect number type | Portal shows |
|---|---|
| Mainland China mobile (+86, 11 digits) | SMS code only |
| Overseas / HK / TW mobile | Inbound call only |
| Landline | Inbound call only |
Note: Mainland +86 mobiles cannot use inbound verification (unreliable caller ID on international outbound). If SMS fails, retry or contact Support.
SMS verification steps (+86 mainland mobile)
- Sign in and open Phone verification; check domain, redirect number, and deadline
- Complete the slider, then tap Send code
- Enter the SMS code on your registered redirect mobile and tap Confirm verification
The code is sent to your redirect target mobile (not necessarily your login mobile).
What is inbound verification?
Call our +1 verification number (or domain call.001tel.com) from the redirect target phone registered on your account. We match the Caller ID (CLI) from the carrier network with your registered number.
- What is verified: redirect target phone (not your login mobile)
- No need to answer: hang up after ringing or a short tone; we do not record calls
- Same effect as SMS: valid until you change the redirect number
- Verification number: shown live on the portal Phone verification page (currently +1 8552110623, dial domain call.001tel.com)
Inbound verification steps (overseas / landline)
- Sign in and open Phone verification
- Tap Start verification and note the +1 verification number and “call from this number”
- Dial from the line that exactly matches your redirect number (do not hide caller ID)
- Hang up after ringing or a short tone; no need to answer or press keys
- Return to the page and tap Refresh status, or wait ~5 seconds for auto-update
Complete the call within the 15-minute session after tapping Start, and within the overall 10-day deadline after payment or number change.
Is the verification call free?
When calling +1 8552110623 or call.001tel.com, international call charges may apply depending on your location and carrier; this is separate from our service fee.
Hanging up right after ringing usually costs only a brief charge. We do not answer or record calls; we only use caller ID for matching.
Verification failed or still pending?
| Symptom | What to try |
|---|---|
| Mainland +86 mobile, inbound | Use SMS verification instead; inbound is not supported for +86 |
| Called without tapping Start | Open a 15-minute session first, then call |
| Caller ID mismatch | Use the exact redirect line; avoid PBX extensions |
| Skype, Google Voice, etc. | CLI may be wrong; use a physical SIM or landline |
| Only a beep or busy tone | We may have received and hung up; tap Refresh status on the portal |
| Caller ID hidden | Disable withholding and call again |
Still stuck? Contact Support with domain, redirect number, and approximate call time.
10-day deadline and suspension
- Starts when: PayPal payment succeeds, or you change the redirect phone on a paid account
- Grace period: redirect may still work before verification; please verify as soon as possible
- After 10 days without verification: domain redirect may be suspended until SMS or inbound verification completes
- After success: no repeat needed until you change the redirect number again
- Changing redirect number: re-verification required; 10-day clock resets
More FAQ
Login phone vs redirect phone? We verify the redirect target. Login mobile is for account access and may differ.
Trial customers? Idntel trial bindings are separate; paid customers must complete this step.
Can anyone dial the +1 number? Most countries can reach +1 numbers; connectivity and cost depend on your carrier. US/Canada callers have the best experience.
Privacy: We only compare caller ID; no recording or IVR.
